Sometimes, some relationships are our guiding anchor and our comfort pillow, but sadly we fail to recognise them. It is a human tendency to evaluate and understand the importance of something when they are long gone. The idea of not being able to work things up and mend things again, break us from within and probably, late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput was going through the same.
Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande had become an ideal couple for people, not only for their portrayal of Manav and Archana in Pavitra Rishta but also in real life. Their chemistry, maturity, understanding, and the way they handled each other was what every person looks for in a relationship. Just when their fans were expecting them to take their 6-year long relationship to the next level, the couple had announced parting ways. On June 14, 2020, the news of Sushant’s demise by suicide had left everyone shattered, including his ex-Ankita.
Sushant is reported to be suffering from depression and Mumbai police is investigating the case as there was no suicide note and people are claiming it to be a professional rivalry. In the investigation, police have recorded the statement of Sushant’s psychiatrist, Kesri Chavda. According to a report in Breaking Boom, the doctor has revealed that Sushant regretted breaking up with,
Ankita Lokhande. He revealed that everything was going great for some time after his breakup with Ankita Lokhande, however, after a few failed relationships, he realised that no one loved him like Ankita used to do.
The doctor also talked about his other relationships as well. He mentioned that Sushant was in a relationship with actress, Kriti Sanon and a daughter of a director. He also revealed that Sushant wasn’t happy with his alleged girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty because of her behaviour, and they used to have fights.
The doctor also talked about Sushant’s mental health. He revealed that Sushant had visited the doctor thrice in the past six months as he was in depression for one year. He could not sleep at night, due to strange thoughts. He also mentioned that Sushant had a bipolar mind as he used to think about one thing from different directions.
Sushant and Ankita’s Pavitra Rishta co-star, Prarthana Behere, had revealed in a Times of India interview, how Ankita had reacted to the news of Sushant’s sudden death. When the reports of Sushant’s suicide had circulated on their Pavitra Rishta WhatsApp groups, Prarthana had called Ankita and narrating the situation, had said, “The messages started flashing on our Pavitra Rishta Whatsapp group and I saw very late.
It took me time to figure out what is happening. So, I called up Ankita and she was crying and I was completely clueless whom should I call now. Then I called Mahesh Shetty, he was also crying and he was going to see him. I asked him if even I should come along because he was our friend yaar. It doesn’t matter we were not in touch with each other since the last 5 years but we have spent such a lovely time together. I treated him as my elder brother.”
Post Sushant’s demise, his stylist, Leepakshi Yellawadi had also shared how he had felt indebted to his ex-girlfriend, Ankita. In an interview with ETimes, Leepakshi had revealed how Sushant had felt indebted to Ankita for supporting him during his struggling days. She had said, “When we were talking he told me how indebted he was to his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. According to him, she supported him very much when they were on television and during their struggling days.
He became a big star. This is a real quality in somebody to look back and even if you are not with that person, appreciate them for what they have done for you. Even though their relationship went sour, he had only good things to say about her. I was really fond of him. When I heard the news I was in disbelief and shaking. He had so many more stories to tell me. We all get busy. He just suddenly decided that okay I am going to go.”
