The Queen actress talks to us about her upcoming film, her life and a lot more…
The gorgeous Lisa Haydon is coming up with another film this year, The Shaukeens, which is a remake of the 1982 cult classic Shaukeen.

We caught up with the leggy lass for a small chat and she, seemed tired because of the immense amount of promotional tours, graced us with some funny and witty answers. Excerpts from the interview:
No not at all. Rati Agnihotri is very beautiful and elegant. Ahana, on the other hand, is a different kind of a fish in the pond. Ahana is crazy, open hearted, wild child, addicted to social networking, very volatile in nature, very innocent and kiddish in nature.
You are portraying the role of a die hard Akshay Kumar fan in the film. In real life are you such a fan of any actor?
Ahana is not just a fan. She is obsessive. She is a crazy fan. You see as you grow up in life your obsession moves away from fandom and becomes more of respect for that actor. It is because we enjoy their work a lot. If in that context you are asking, I guess I have a whole lot of actors whose films I have enjoyed over the years and have been their fans. I have enjoyed every actor in Bollywood at some point of time and enjoyed their work.
You did films before Queen too but Queen gave you a different sort of fame altogether. But many people have an opinion that you did not cash in on the success of the film by going on a movie-signing spree. Rather you remained very normal and kept waiting for good roles to come by. Why so?

Are people actually saying that because you are the first person who has opened that up to me. I get very hesitant to use terms like picking and selecting. I don’t want to seem pricey at all. However, money definitely is the driving force behind all work. On that note I have got a lot of movie offers but I want to sign those films which feel right to me.
Do you keep waiting for women oriented characters which have a lot of acting scope for the female protagonist?
Yes. That’s a big yes for me. I want to do films which have a great character which I can display it to others and feel proud of. I like playing strong women characters. But I guess that’s not all. Films don’t work out for various reasons. It can be something about the character which me and the direction team don’t agree on or it may be the money or anything else. I just hope that I get offers to play characters which I love doing. Something similar to what I have been doing of late.
You have been in the industry for a long time now and you must have made some great bonds with people here. So who is your best buddy in the industry? Whom do you count on, when you are in some sort of a trouble?
To be honest I don’t have that many problems. I am good friends with Vikas Bahl (Queen director). I am good friends with one of the producer of Queen as well. I have my agents and any problems they take care of it and I am sorted.

Which actor in Bollywood do you think has a great sense of humour in Bollywood?
Akshay Kumar because he’s making fun of himself in The Shaukeens.
Which actor do you think has the best body in Bollywood?
I would refrain from answering that because I am no judge of the same. Also objectifying someone on the basis of their physical attributes doesn’t go that well with me.
What future projects can we look up to from Lisa Haydon?
I have some great offers and hopefully I will sign something in the next couple of weeks.
