This happened after social activist-turned-politician Kejriwal resigned from the post of Delhi Chief Minister last year. Finally, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah ended up bagging the role. While talking to a leading tabloid, the producer-director of Mallika Sherawat starrer confirmed this piece of information and said,
“Yes, we had offered a role to Mr Kejriwal, but he could not allot dates to us. He congratulated us for the project, though. So, we approached Naseeruddin Shah. The film is inspired by him.”
