Gaurav Gupta Makes FDCI Proud

Gaurav Gupta makes FDC ProudGaurav Jai Gupta, a known Indian fashion designer who also happens to be a part of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), has made the council extremely proud by winning the prestigious award of The Most Commercial Collection at the International Apparel Foundation (IAP) designer awards that took place in Mexico. The competition was pretty tough as designers from all over the world including Australia, Greece, Columbia and Taiwan.

Gaurav Gupta was presented this award at the Grand Velas Resort Mexico on October 15th. He seemed content and proud for what he had achieved and he earned the success by all means by showcasing such an exquisite spring/summer collection titled as Babel which was inspired by a Mexican movie directed by Alejandro Gonzalez.

Explaining his collection Gaurav said, “The collection looks at contradictions and connections in this tough global climate and is made with handwoven silks,cottons and stainless steel.The color palette is fresh with pale blues, mustard yellows and peaches”

Having this success being of an Indian’s it is not only a moment of pride for Gaurav Gupta alone but he has made us all proud and specially the Indian Fashion Fraternity.
