Ri Ritu Kumar, the bespoke label by Ritu Kumar launches the new Festive Winter Campaign for 2015 with a beautifully curated story that weaves through the festivities surrounding a ‘Wedding’. It is Conceptualized by Amrish Kumar and photographed by Farrokh Chothia, the campaign has been shot in the stunning Sujan Singh Palace in Jaipur.

The campaign story takes you through the cast of the most important women in an Indian wedding, the blushing bride, the nervous mother of the bride, the proud mother of the groom, the chirpy sisters of the bride and the dashing groom.

Each of them have their special own part to play in the big fat Indian wedding. The story is about the unique equations each of them share and is testimony to the great repertoire of the Ritu Kumar design house – which has been worn by generations and generations of Indian women and thrives on Indian traditions, family values and heritage.

True to the Ritu Kumar aesthetic, the campaign is elegant and classic with a riot of colours synonymous to a grand Indian wedding.

The wedding imagery has been laced with a quirky tongue in cheek humor which coaxes you to imagine the dynamics between these women.

Featuring choreographer Vidyun Singh as the mother of the bride, special appearance by Simar Duggal after a long hiatus as the groom’s mother, Pooja Mor, the new New York sensation as the blushing bride and Mariette, a bright new face on the fashion radar as the young sister, the campaign brings together the vibrance and grandeur of a true ‘Ritu Kumar’ style wedding.
